4.5 Precision : Closeness of agreement between quantity value obtained
by replicate measurements of a quantity, under specified
condition (VIM)
The closeness of agreement between independent tests
results obtained by applying the experimental procedure
under stipulated conditions. The smaller the random part of
the experimental error which affect the results, the more
precise the procedure (IUPAC)

4.7 Bias : Systematic error of indication of a measuring system (VIM).
Numerical difference between the mean of a set or replicate
measurements and the true value. This difference (positive
or negative) may be expressed in the units in which the
quantity is measured or as a percentage of the true value.
