1.0 PURPOSE

To ensure that management of reagents and consumable such as reception, storage,
acceptance testing and inventory are done accordingly.

Applied for management of reagents and consumables in Disease Sector,Makmal
Kesihatan Awam Kota Bharu.

4.0 DEFINITION

4.1 Reagent : A substance used in a chemical reaction to detect measure,
examine, or produce other substances in the laboratory
testing.

4.2 Consumable : Goods (e.g. lab glassware, plastic ware, clinical and
scientific apparatus) neither reusable nor disposable used
in laboratory testing.

5.0 ABBREVIATION

5.1 SO : Science Officer.
5.2 MLT : Medical Laboratory Technologist.
5.3 ASO : Assistant Science Officer.
5.4 OIC : Officer In-charge.
5.5 PPK : Pembantu Perawatan Kesihatan.
5.6 PA : Pembantu Am.
