6.2.3 Follow orientation and attachment program according Personnel
to the schedule. Inform OIC or HOS if there is any
change.
Orientation and attachment program is conducted to
introduce new personnel to the :
a) MKAKB organization
b) Department or designated work area
c) Terms and conditions of employment
d) Facilities
e) Health and safety requirement
f) Occupational health services
g) Quality management system
h) Assigned work processes and procedures
i) Applicable laboratory information system
j) Ethics
k) Confidentiality of patient information
6.2.4 At unit level, train and supervise the work perform by SO/ OIC/ MLT/ ASO
the new staff(s) during attachment program.
6.2.5 Record the training details and get signature from Personnel
Supervisor/ OIC as prove for orientation and
attachment program is done.
6.2.6 Assess competency of new staff after completed SO/ OIC
attachment/ training.
6.2.7 Retrain staffs that have been absence from work for SO/ OIC
more than 3 months. Perform competency assessment
after completed training.
6.2.8 Keep the orientation program checklist, attachment log OIC/ Personnel
book and competency assessment in Fail Peribadi.
6.3.0 COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT
6.3.1 Assess the competencies of each personnel every 2 HOU/ OIC
years to perform any assigned managerial or technical
task. (Refer to MKAKB/BP/BR-32)
6.3.2 Train all new staff or staff who has be absent for more HOU
than 3 months accordingly before competency
assessment is being carried out.
6.3.3 Prepare schedule for staffs to undergo a competency HOU
assessment.
